2016-2017 Homework and Testing Policy-Mrs. Goodenough
Juniors and Seniors in Spanish 3-4:
- If you don’t do your homework, you will not be prepared for tests and quizzes, which you will then fail because you haven’t done the required work! 11th and 12th grade students who fail to turn in work will be encouraged to complete the late work for a minimum of 50% credit of the correct work submitted. All late work must be turned in before the unit test. No retakes will be offered on tests. These are advanced courses and I expect you to do the assigned work and study for tests, etc.
- Please see me if you are experiencing any problems and I will be happy to try and help you out!
Sophomores (Freshmen) in Spanish 2:
- This course is intense and we learn a lot of new material at this level. Obviously it is to your advantage to do assigned work when given. If you don’t do the work on time, you will fall behind and then not be prepared for a test or quiz. Every unit has a vocabulary quiz, grammar quizzes and a unit test along with other assignments and projects, including on-line activities.
- If your assignment is not done when you come into class, it is late… you are on a block schedule and have more than enough time to get any work that I assign completed before the next class! A late grade for an assignment starts at a 70 %( that includes anything turned in same day outside of our class).
- After, the grade will go down to 50%of the correct work submitted. A zero will be placed in the grade program until the work is completed! No late assignments for a unit will be accepted after the Unit Test!
- Unit Tests: If anyone receives a C- or below (76%) on a UNIT test, he/she may retake the test one time. The second exam will NOT be identical to the first exam. Activities may be similar, but not the same questions! You will fill out the Test Retake Ticket-see below -and complete the retake steps.
- Please feel free to see me for help at any time! (before and after school or homeroom)
***Juniors or Seniors taking Spanish 2 may follow the rules for the Sophomores listed above.
***Unexcused Absences-Students will be allowed to complete missing work at 50% of the grade earned on the assignment up until the end of a unit.
