19.2 Try-Athlon

Today's three tasks for the 19.2 Try-athlon are:  Write your answers on the provided white board.

 

1) ROLEPLAY: You are a part of a school board that is going to name your new school, "Thomas Edison Middle School."  Look up different quotes by Thomas Edison.  Select the quote you would have posted on the front sign of your school, and explain why you would want that quote to be your school motto.

 

 

2) In 15 words or less, explain why America became the "birthplace" for so many inventions between 1860 - 1890.

 

 

 

3) In order, describe what your group believes will be the three most innovative inventions that are going to actually be invented in the next twenty years.
